After strolling to the Valley of the Temples in Agrigento, we will stop to enjoy a delicious packed lunch made of Sicilian street food.
Continue to Piazza Armerina, a city woven in the hearth of Sicily. In this city is located the splendid Villa Romana del Casale, property of a powerful ancient roman family. Here you will find the best conserved in-site roman mosaics in the world. Since 1997 the city is part of the UNESCO World Heritage.
Syracuse, Ortigia & Noto
The Syracuse and Noto tour will start with the visit of the Neapolis in Syracuse, the famous archaeological park in the countryside of Syracuse. We will then reach the lovely peninsula of Ortigia. Starting from the ruins of the Temple of Apollo, with a lovely walking, there will be the Duomo square, with it’s beautiful white Cathedral of “Saint Mary of the Immaculate Conception”, erected on the Ancient Greek temple of Athena. After lunch we will drive to Noto, a jewel of Sicilian Baroque, Unesco heritage. Noto is considered a “open air museum”.
