One Tree Planted Project
Carbon Offset project
One Tree Planted Project & aliveXperiences

We care deeply about the planet and creating a business that gives back to nature.
That’s why we’re thrilled to share that we’re partnering with One Tree Planted/@onetreeplanted to plant a tree for every day of vacation sold.
Trees clean our air and water, create habitats for biodiversity, contribute to our health and wellbeing, and create jobs for social impact.

We’re honored to have reforestation through OneTree Planted as an integral part of our business model.
Past, Current & Future Projects
2021
The Project:
This reforestation will work to rebuild the forests of Undabaso. This area is located in the municipality of Muxika, in the province of Bizkaia, in the Basque Country. The area is included in the Urdaibai Biosphere Reserve.
Impact:
Fundación Lurgaia, by means of the Quercus program, aims to recover part of the lost forests and, hence, their value for biodiversity as well as the goods and services they provide to the society. In addition to this, this project aims to improve the habitat of endangered species, improve the water cycle, reduce land erosion and loss of soil, improve the ecological status of the water bodies, remove invasive species and long term upkeep and fixation of CO2.
Tree Species:
More than 35 species will be planted, including, Quercus robur, Betula alba, Corylus avellana, Fraxinus excelsior, Acer campestre, Ilex aquifolium, Salix sp., Taxus baccata, Castanea sativa, Alnus glutinosa, Cornus sanguinea, Fagus sylvaticus, etc.

2022
The Project:
If you happen to venture these pristine landscapes, you'll find yourself immersed in majestic forestry where giant coastal redwoods take the stage, often surrounded by rare plants. Unfortunately, five years of drought and large-scale bark beetle infestation have seriously damaged these once-thriving forests. Not to mention, 2017's record-breaking wildfire season burned more than 1.3 million acres – an area the size of Delaware. 2020's fire season have consumed close to 3 million acres, resulting in hundreds of millions of trees that must be restored. Together, let's restore California's forests so that we can continue to enjoy their natural beauty for many years to come!
Impact:
Trees play a vital role in maintaining the liveliness of California communities. With your contribution, we will help restore areas affected by wildfires throughout the whole of California, thus producing ecological benefits such as habitat restoration and erosion control. With these funds, hard-working foresters will dedicate time to promote improved vegetation planning and resource management, helping to reduce the risk of catastrophic fires and floods in the region.
Tree Species:
In order to maximize the impact of your donation, we will determine the most appropriate species to plant, based on the time of year. Some of the species we will plant include the Sugar Pine, California Redwood (known as the State Tree), Maple, Elderberry, Willow, Birch, Dogwood, Cedar, Giant Sequoia, and Walnut.
